Add LocalBusiness Schema to Your Law Firm’s Website in 2 Minutes

Your law firm is located in one city. But your law firm's website is hosted in a data center somewhere else. And possibly co-hosted on content-delivery-networks all over the world.

So how can we tell Google that a page that is physically located in a data center is connected to your local law firm? LocalBusiness Schema.

What is LocalBusiness Schema?

Local Business Schema is a structured data markup code that tells Google exactly what information to display about your firm, including your law firm's name, address, phone number, operating hours, and areas of practice. By implementing Local Business Schema, you can make your firm stand out in local search results, generate more leads, and ultimately sign new cases. By providing this information directly to search engines through Local Business Schema, you can ensure that potential clients find the most accurate and relevant information about your firm, leading them to choose you over your competitors.

LocalBusiness Schema Helps Anchor Your Content to Your Local Office

Anchoring your website to the physical location of your law firm is helpful in many ways. You can reinforce the information you’re telling Google in your Google Business profile, like your address, phone number, and business hours. Plus, you can anchor your content to a physical location… like your office.

I cover this in our latest episode of the Schema for Lawyers series on YouTube. In the video, I will show you how to add LocalBusiness markup using a WordPress plugin like Yoast or RankMath SEO. It takes less than 2 minutes and is very easy.
